Dumba logged an assist, two hits, four PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Flyers.
Dumba and a 2028 second-round pick were acquired by Pittsburgh from Dallas on Thursday in exchange for Vladislav Kolyachonok.
The right-handed defenseman has a rare combination of physicality and dynamic offensive chops, and he can play 20-plus minutes on a nightly basis. He has electric skating ability, can rush the puck and owns a big shot, but is also aggressive and likes to make the kind of open-ice hits that can inspire his team. He is also willing to give up his body to block shots, but has also been known to struggle defensively on occasion.
